STI Testing
The only way to know if you have a sexually transmitted infection (STI) is to get tested. Many STIs have no symptoms, or symptoms so mild they’re often missed—which is why regular testing is so important.
STAP offers free, confidential screening for:
- Gonorrhea and Chlamydia (urine test – please avoid using the restroom for at least 30 minutes before your appointment) (throat and rectal swab available)
- Syphilis (10-minute rapid test with a finger prick)
- HIV and Hepatitis C, especially for those at higher risk through unprotected sex or sharing syringes (20-minute rapid test with finger prick)
Testing is available at our offices and at select community locations each month. Results are typically ready in 3–5 business days (urine samples testing), and our staff will follow up with you directly.
