At STAP, HIV prevention is our foundation. The Prevention Services department provides risk assessment, prevention education, testing, and navigation services to individuals at risk for HIV/AIDS, STDs, and Viral Hepatitis. The staff members use scientifically validated strategies to prioritize engagement, testing, and referral services to populations at the greatest risk. The Prevention Services department operates multiple grants from the Department of Health. This allows staff members to specialize in service delivery to specific priority populations.
